ABOUT BUKKY (Book - E) AGBOOLA
An American born to Nigerian parents, Bukky Agboola is a Christian author, speaker, and gospel recording artist. Giving God Ultimate Love is her latest book and earned the coveted New York City Big Book Award.
Bukky is a graduate of one of Africa's top universities: The University of Ife, now known as Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife, Nigeria, and an Award-Winner at the Coulsdon and Purley Music Festival in England.
Her first book, I Made it Through, tells her life story and struggles following the 1983 military takeover in Nigeria. She has been an ordained minister for over two decades and has released four gospel albums, two of which sold out during her tours in Nigeria and the United Kingdom. The album Amazing Grace is her latest music release.
Bukky describes her books and songs as soul opening good news to draw people closer to God. Previously based in the UK, her music ministry began with leading praise and worship at her local church, and winning a regional music festival award, The Christian music magazine Cross Rhythms also gave her the thumbs up. She headlined a memorable gospel concert at the London City Temple with the Rev Bazil Meade and The London Community Gospel Choir, known for their royal performances for her Majesty the Queen and studio recordings with a lengthy list of well-known artists, including Puff Daddy, Mariah Carey, Sting, and Paul McCartney.
Since moving to the U.S., Bukky has also had the privilege of ministering for Gospel music great. the multiple Grammy Award Winner with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, the late Andrae Crouch and his sister Sandra Crouch.
